Supported employee Tony Haines celebrates his 60th Birthday this week so cake and celebrations were the order of the day today.
Tony started life at Fairfield as a student at 16 and after many years as a student was employed as a Farm Labourer. He worked for charity founders Mr & Mrs Hester and lodged with them at the farm. Mr & Mrs Hester were very fond of Tony and would feel proud today of Tony’s achievements at Fairfield, and also of how the charity has supported Tony through his working life.
Tony has lived in many of the college houses over time until the charity became a college, he was then supported to move to supported living nearby so that he could still access his job.
Over time Tony has supported farming and equestrian staff before joining the maintenance team in later years, he now works as a general farm labourer. Tony has been a great asset to the farm and to the college.
Our catering department made Tony a cake to celebrate today, we all wish him a very Happy Birthday!
