Our onsite café and shop are open to the public 7 days a week, all year round with closure only for Christmas and Easter bank holidays. The Post Office is open 6 days a week. During term time, Monday to Friday our students also work in the shop and café and they are supported by teaching and learning staff. During weekends and college holidays, our retail team staff the farm shop and café.
Our Post Office has been open just over a year, and we have built our customer base over this time offering vital Post Office services to the local community.

You will be keen to work in a diverse role, which will involve delivering post office counter services as well as working to serve customers within the shop. You will play an active role in being the public face of Fairfield and providing a positive customer experience and driving sales linked to Post Office services. You will work alongside other members of staff in the farm shop as well as our students but your main duties will be Post Office counter services.
You should have excellent customer relations skills, a willingness and ability to take responsibility for the post office counter services including all financial aspects. Post Office training will be an advantage but we are happy to offer onsite training if you do not have this. You will be self-motivated and be able to work independently and able to prioritise your workload as the role is a busy one with demanding priorities and deadlines.
