Bursary Policy
In September 2011 the Government introduced a 16-19 Bursary Fund (19+ for Discretionary) to provide support for College students who face the greatest financial barriers to participation. The student bursary is intended to help students overcome barriers that might otherwise prevent them from attending and participating in College activities. Where students are eligible, it can be paid directly to the student or it might be used to pay for in-kind support, for example materials or equipment required for the course (safety clothing such as boots, wellington boots, overalls etc), course related visits/activities or extra curricular activities to ensures students can fully participate in college life.
